Life can be compared to a maze: it is convoluted, tortuous and winding! The moment we were born we were placed into this maze to find our own way out in order to search for happiness and meaningful life! While we were young our parents helped to pave our way:- coaching classes, music lessons, a good school, selecting courses for better prospect to become a professional. Then we grew up and we have to make decisions for ourselves. Some may emigrate for security; some may break their backs to save more money towards retirement; some may try shortcuts for quick investment returns and some may turn to astrology and fortunetelling for better luck. We do all these in exchange for secured life style just so that we may enjoy life!
But life does not turn out the way we want it. The vast development of technology fails to reduce sickness and suffering; on the contrary it brings about all sorts of environmental and moral issues. Economic downturns following the closing down of major organizations simply demonstrate the lack of security in our career and our wealth. The 911 tragedy has entirety shaken our fundamental sense of security.
Is there possibly a way out of this maze of human life?
Indeed the way out of the maze does not depend on: how much you possess; how meticulous your plans are; or whether you can predict the ups and downs of your life. It depends on yourself, your idea of life, your thinking of life and your courage. |
