The sun is the primary source of most forms of energy found on earth .It gives out a large amount of energy, which is called solar energy.Solar engrgy is the result of nuclear reactions within the sun.These reactions take place continuously inside the sun and therefore give the sun its constant supply of energy.
Solar energy is one of the renewable sources of energy,which means the energy can be used over and over again.It has little pollution and does not contribute to greenhouse effect.It is limitless,clean ang widespread as well.
We have been trying hard to make good use of solar energy in many ways.The solar cooker is a good exanple.A large mirror-like plate collects and focuses the sun`s rays to produce heat.The heat will cook food.Not only is solar energy used for cooking, but it can also bu turned into electricity by using solar panels.
Owing to its advantages,we believe that solar energy is the most important kind of energy resources that can meet the world`s need for energy in the future. |
