第八日：询问建议：能像对好朋友一样吗？
这天，English美眉满脸“坏笑”地告诉他：“其实，学英语没有捷径，告诉你什么速成捷径，就是为了让你先能‘进门’，呵呵呵呵呵，从今天开始，你要打点精神，一起学点正宗的英语。”
没想到，周笨驰却一脸愁眉苦脸——
English美眉：Why are you in such a hurry?/你干吗那么着急呀？？
E周笨驰：I saw an advertisement from a famous foreign company for recruitment. Would you please take a look at my application letter that I’ve just written? I’d like to have your opinion./我在广告上看到一个特有名的外企在招聘。帮忙看看我刚刚写完的求职信好么？我想听听你的意见。
English美眉：Sounds great. Let me have a look./听起来是个好事。我看看吧。
On the whole, you should be pride of your improvement in English. And I’m glad to assist you in getting this job opportunity./总的说来，你应该为你自己英文的进步而骄傲。我希望我能帮你得到这个工作机会。
E周笨驰：If you feel anything unsuitable in it, please feel free to say so. You know I really want to get this job!/要是你觉得有什么不妥，尽管说。我真的想得到这个工作。
English美眉：You can surely get it if you treat it as you treat your friends./你当然能得到这份工作了，如果你象对你的那些朋友那样对它。
E周笨驰： friends??? If so, I’d rather………/那些朋友？？？？要真是那样，我宁愿……
English美眉：My God. Forget it./天哪，不说这个了……
E周笨驰： I’ll listen to you./听你的。
English美眉：Your application letter looks fine to me. But I have one suggestion./我看你写的挺好的。不过我有一个建议。
E周笨驰：Good! I really care for your advice./太好了，我真的很在乎你的意见。
English美眉：If I were you, I’d change the beginning. You should write about your education first./如果我是你，我会把开头改一下。你应该在开头写一下你的学历。
E周笨驰：Are you kidding?! You know my education background./你是开玩笑吧，你又不是不知道我的学历。
English美眉：Well, if you don’t have confidence in your education, you should include more information about your work experience./这样啊，如果你对你的学历没信心，那你至少也应该多写一些你的工作经历吧。
E周笨驰：You’re right. I’ll make some changes on that. How do you think of the last part of the letter?/说的对。我会把它改一改的。那你觉得信的最后一段怎么样？
English美眉：Quite good. But, I think you’d better say something about your own opinion about this particular industry and show them that you are the right person they need./不错！但是，要是我没想错的话，你也应该在信里谈谈你对这个行业的一些想法。我是说你要让他们知道你就是他们需要的那个人。
