Nowadays in a world full of material desires , money seems to be the only measurement to multitudinous things. Around us, a lot of people become anomic and money-oriented.
It was once reported that in a traffic accident , an old man was knocked down by a running car and seriously injured . He was sent to hospital and had a series of operation . When his family began looking for the escaped driver , a passerby charged 2,000 yuan for telling them the number of the hit-and-run car. Having learnt the report, I could not help feeling angry and disappointed with this passerby.
But actually we can do nothing about this kind of sinful deed! As we know, immoral as his behavior is, it isn’t against the law. Although we live in the commercial society, it doesn’t necessarily mean that all the things in our life should be valued by money. Sympathizing and helping others is our everlasting Chinese super virtue, which greatly deserves our nonstop further developing. It can’t be priced.
In our city , it is not rare to see that many volunteers direct the traffic , handing the old and sick to cross the road safely. What a group of lovely people they are! Helping others is enjoying yourself. As a song sings, “ As long as everyone offers his love one another, our world would be a warm , nice and sweet place to live in .” |
