Police have arrested an Alameda, California man in connection with the July 17 burglary of the Palo Alto home of the late Steve Jobs, the co-founder and long-time CEO at Apple.

As the San Jose Mercury News reports, 35-year-old Kariem McFarlin was arrested August 2 on suspicion of burglarizing the house and selling stolen property. More than $60, 000 worth of computers and other personal items were allegedly stolen.
据《圣荷塞信使报》（San Jose Mercury News）报道，因涉嫌入室盗窃和销售赃物，现年35岁的嫌犯卡里恩·麦卡法林（Kariem McFarlin）于8月2日被警方逮捕。据称，乔布斯家中有超过6万美元的电脑和个人物品失窃。
McFarlin, who was arraigned last week, is in county jail. He faces a maximum prison sentence of seven years and eight months.

A spokesman for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office indicated that McFarlin likely was not aware of the home’s conection to Jobs.

Note that in early July, less than two weeks before the incident took place, the Jobs home was in the process of undergoing major construction, apparently to repair the roof, as I noted in a previous post. What’s not immediately clear is whether the extensive repair work on the roof of the house made it easier for the alleged burglar to enter the home.
