生活依旧是那么的忙碌.
每天清晨早早起床, 快速洗刷后就冲一杯麦片加鸡蛋, 再加一个大苹果, 然后认认真真地坐在电脑前, 要么备课, 要么回邮件, 要么整理一些雅思的教学资料, 要么看看China Daily或者 Financial Times…… 反正都是一边吃早餐一边做事情, 从来没有闲着. 大概八点半左右就去上班, 要是早上培训中心那边没有课还要在家教私人雅思. 反正都是家里和培训中心两地跑, 而且培训中心有好几个分校, 我的课主要是在罗湖和福田, 所以那种奔波也是挺累人的. 最近一周每天的课都多得惊人, 经常晚上九点半差不多十点才回到宿舍. 拿今天来讲, 我已经上了九个小时的课了. 今晚九点多吃晚饭, 是在宿舍楼下的沙县吃的乌鸡汤云吞. 当时真的是饥肠辘辘, 狼吞虎咽地吃起来.
晚上一回到宿舍, 第一件事情就是开电脑. 然后飞快去冲凉洗衣服. 家里的洗衣机, 可是我却习惯用手洗了, 觉得更快更干净. 冬天的水很冰冷, 可是我还是挺住了, 坚持用手洗. 等一切都搞定以后, 我又倒了一杯热水, 再拿着桔子或者苹果, 一边吃一边查邮件和回复QQ以及手机的信息. 起码得忙半个小时后才可以暂时休息一下. 而那时已经差不多十一点了. 然后我就看一会儿电视剧就睡觉, 从而结束了一天忙碌的生活.
最近课太多了, 基本没有自己私人的时间. 所有的约会都一直在往后推, 推得有些同学朋友都 “生气” 了. 今晚在教军哥英语时, 住在我家附近的小杰同学打电话说他煲了鸡汤, 问我要不要去喝. 我无奈地谢绝了他, 因为我回去已经太晚了, 我要快点洗漱睡觉了,不然第二天就没精神了. 结果被他在电话里怪嗔了我一顿, 我只能不停地开玩笑般地道歉. 本来和另外几个从国外和香港回来的朋友以及师弟师妹约好这周找时间吃饭的, 可是由于我的课程太多也被推到下周了. 他们老是半开玩笑地抱怨我, 说约我见个面吃个饭比登天还难. 我也只能在电话里无奈地笑了笑. 不过我知道他们是可以理解我的, 毕竟大家都是老朋友了.
不过, 最近虽然过得很忙, 但也是很充实和快乐的. 比如说经常忙里偷闲, 约住在附近的同学朋友晚上去看吃饭看电影. 万象城就在我家旁边, 真是方便得不得了. 晚上要是九点前可以结束所有的课程, 回来吃完饭洗完澡后才九点半左右, 还可以赶到嘉禾影院去看夜场. 看到十一点多才回家睡觉. 不过万幸的是我前晚没有去, 不然就惨了. 听说万象城那晚十二点多发生歹徒劫持一个酒店服务员事件, 最后歹徒被警察当场击毙了. 听到了这个消息我简直不敢相信自己的耳朵! 在深圳最繁华的地段居然会生这样的事情, 真的让人感到挺恐怖的. 而且我是经常夜归的, 而且经常很晚从万象城那边走回家, 要是遇到这样的事情就惨了! 母亲在家也看到这个新闻了, 结果昨晚和她聊电话时, 她就一直在絮叨, 叫我晚上不要太晚回家.
看一下表, 不知不觉又十一点半了. 要睡了. 最近我都比以前早睡, 因为我不想再晚睡了, 这样对身体不好. 我要养成更加良好的生活习惯. 早睡以后第二天我会感到更加的精力充沛! 新的一年开始了, 希望自己在未来的一年可以发展得更好!

Life is full of changes, so are the theories of mathematics. But among all the changes mathematics has undergone, there will be something unchanged, which is so-called the truth, in it. I am eager to be the one among all exceptional mathematicians all over the world to seek the truth in mathematics.
For me, mathematics is a charming beauty. I have been deeply fascinated by it since I studied it in primary school. Due to my strong interest and determination, I have stuck to learning it until now and performed excellently in all my mathematics courses in university. For those courses which I am particularly interested in, on top of mastering what the lecturers have delivered, I am well ahead of other students to learn new knowledge untapped in class. When I was in my second year, I was successfully enrolled in a study project launched by China and France intended for cultivating international mathematicians. During my studies in this project, I was engaged in various postgraduate courses such as Lie Algbra, Affine Group Scheme, etc, which has rendered me a precious opportunity to study with top super students of the same interest and tremendously expanded my outlooks
My effort finally paid off. In 2010, I participated in the twelfth Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling hosted by Fudan University and got the second prize among all the outstanding contestants. However, I did not feel over-complacent with the achievement obtained. Instead, I carried on working arduously and in 2011, I was awarded the second prize again in The Mathematical Contest in Modeling hosted by the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications. .
All the hard work I have paid and achievements I have acquired have greatly stimulated my motivation for learning further in mathematics. Rather than absorbing the given knowledge blindly, I tend to think critically on what I have learnt and explore its application in our daily practice. I often ask myself why I learn mathematics and what significance it demonstrates in our lives. Finally, with my insights in mathematics going deeper and deeper, I came to realize that learning mathematics is just like learning existential philosophy which emphasizes the contingency in our world. Existential philosophy argues that our world is full of contingency and is changing continuously. To my mind, its theory of change also applies to mathematics as I have mentioned above. What I am trying to do is seek the unchanged essence in mathematics so that I can have a better command of what I have learnt and utilize it to serve the well-being of our humans. That is my ultimate goal for learning mathematics.
After years of studies and practice, I have portrayed a clear picture of my career path. I am deeply keen on geometry, particularly on low dimensional manifold. Therefore, I am eager to plunge into the front studies in America with the assistance of world-renowned professors and excellent scholars. I am determined to get PhD in the US and then come back to China to be a college teacher and top scholar. To be a professor in college is my dreamed career for the reason that I can not only continue studying my field but also enlighten the next generations. So I am sincerely hoping that I could be admitted to your prestigious university. Your serious consideration will be highly appreciated. |
