The lockless door
不锁之门
It went many years,
But at last came a knock,
And I though of the door
With no lock to lock.
过了许多年时光，
忽听得敲门声响，
我想起门没有锁，
我怎能将它锁上。
I blew out the light,
I tip-toed the floor,
And raised both hands
In prayer to the door.
我旋即吹灭了灯，
轻轻走在地板上，
又悄悄举起双手，
对着门祷告思量。
But the knock came again.
My window was wide;
I climbed on the sill
And descended outside.
敲门声又响起来！
我看见窗户洞开，
于是偷偷爬上去，
一闪身跳到窗外。
Back over the sill
I bade a “Come in”
To whatever the knock
At the door may have been.
我转身探进脑袋，
喊了一声：进来！
管它敲门的是谁，
有什么可以奇怪。
So at a knock
I emptied my cage
To hide in the world
And alter with age.
就这样一声门响，
我居然跳了出来，
投身不锁的世界，
随岁月漂流在外。
