Two vampire bats wake up in the middle of the night, thirsty for blood. One says, "Let's fly out of the cave and get some blood."
"We're new here," says the second one. "It's dark out, and we don't know where to look. We'd better wait until the other bats go with us."
The first bat replies, "Who needs them? I can find some blood somewhere." He flies out of the cave.
When he returns, he is covered with blood.
The second bat says excitedly, "Where did you get the blood?"
The first bat takes his buddy to the mouth of the cave. Pointing into the night, he asks, "See that black building over there?"
"Yes," the other bat answers.
"Well," says the first bat, "I didn't."
两只吸血蝙蝠半夜醒来，渴了想喝点血。一只说：“咱飞出洞去弄点血吧。”
“咱新来乍到，”另一只说，“外边又这么黑，都不知上哪儿去找，还是等别的蝙蝠跟咱一块儿去吧。”
头一只说：“谁用得着它们哪？我可以上哪儿找点血来。”说完就飞出洞去。
回来的时候，浑身都带着血。
另一只兴奋地问：“你哪儿弄来这么些血啊？”
头一只把这同伴带到洞口，朝夜色中指去，问：“那边那栋黑乎乎的大楼瞧见没？”
“瞧见了。”另一只回答。
“唉，”这只说，“刚才我没瞧见哪。”
