悲壮的足球比赛
The story of the Dynamo soccer team of Kiev is one of the legendary events of World War II.
After Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, was occupied, the Germans challenged the team to play against them. The Ukrainians accepted the challenge, and scored one goal after another amid the cheers of the Ukrainian spectators. The Germans were furious. At half time a German officer came to the Dynamo dressing room and ordered them"not to play too keenly", or they would be shot. The fans, unaware that the lives of Dynamo were threatened, cheered them on to a score of 4-1.
Finally, the Ukrainian team was given three days to think about its position, and on 9 August 1942 there was a"friendly" rematch. Dynamo again defeated the Germans, after which most of the team members were executed. They turned soccer to martyrdom.
