My Brother Joins In Peace-keeping In Sudan
My brother,LiQing is a army reporter.he was dispatched together with other soldiers by UN to Sudan for peace-keeping activity in January 2007.
In order to help Sudan recover normal orderASAP,China gorvenment called Chinese soldiers to go there to help Sudanese. Due to such a events,Sudan,a far-away small country ,get much attention from most of Chinese people.Sudan is a very poor country in Africa after a war for more than twenty years.people there lives a naked poor life.they face the risk of hunger,safety,chaos etc..Chinese great soliders are working hard to help Sudanese to get rid of all kinds of bothers.they help Sudanese to build and maintain road and bridge,enlarge airport etc.mainly focus on base construction.they made a great contribution to development of Sudan.
At first,it is reported by my brother it took about 3 days and 3 nights to reach Sudan.After such a long trip,all the soliders got very very tired.but they start immediately to put theirselves into hard work even though there is high temperature,sick,less vegetable….
As to the climate there,Sudan is names“the country above oven”and there is a big different temperature between night and daytime.the night temperature is about 20 degree,but it can reach above 50 degree.so terrible!
Also,much more horrible,there is full of scorpions and snakes here and there.One night,one scorpions entered into solider’s tent.suddently,one soldier was standing up from dream.all other soldiers were awake by such a crying.The soldier found that one scorpion is climbing onto his body and bited,how terrible!
Due to the remarkable donation,all 435 soldiers were just given to a fame-medal of peace by UN on June 2.how excited as all the people was at such a good news!Indeed,the glory is served to them all!All the people are proud of their bright behaviour.In my opinion,they are growing a seed of broad love.they are composing a great lyric of friendship!
