深圳大学  赖小琪
These days I have been busy as a bee. Seeing this sentence, maybe you will say to me that I am always saying the same thing and in your mind, I am always taken with lots of stuff. However in the past, I was mostly occupied with my study assignments. But now it is a totally different story. Sometimes I just cannot help feeling depressed.
Since I shouldered the obligation of a monitor of my class, I became a “superman” who can do things extremely efficiently. Last semester, I took 36 credits of courses due to my second major chosen newly then, accounting. And more fantastically, during the selection of new class servants in the mid-term period, I still had the courage and passion to campaign for the monitor of my class. Hopefully, maybe because I had many supporters or there was no rival to run with me, I was successfully elected. But after a momentary thrill, I began to smell the “blood” of the post. Maybe it is somewhat exaggerated, but the responsibility of a monitor is by no means relaxing. Regardless of all the trivial matters as to informing the whole class of some up-to-date news issued by the college offices, I still need to organize and manage numerous activities under the requirement of the school as well as our classmates. There are especially more activities this semester than last one, which almost push me to the edge of the cliff!
To begin with, at the start of the term, I needed to assume the job of noting down the textbooks each student chose to buy and collecting the money accordingly. In order to make sure the amount of the money is precisely right, I had to double even triple check individual amount of money and the totality with my calculator. There are more than 70 students in my class, so you can imagine the burden of the task. After everything was done, I needed to notify all the students to go to the Book-purchasing Center to get their books. It was also in a mess then. All of our servants had to sort out the categories of the books and confirm the exact amount of the books each student took before they left. Worse still, some students did not come to take their books even without telling me the reason. Therefore, we needed to come up with an idea to help them keep the books temporarily and urged them to take afterwards again and again.
After that, I had thought that I could have a sound rest for some time. However, I was totally wrong. Before I could recover my breath, the PE Day of our business college unveiled its face and we needed to arrange students to participate diversified sports competitions such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, marathon etc. Now all these matches are still on the way and far from the end. But that is still not my final torture. This weekend our class is planning to go to the seaside around the city for a trip. I still shoulder the responsibility to contact the agency that can help us arrange the bus and provide us with necessary tools and insurance. Needless to say, we still need to collect money and confirm the number of the prospective travelers because not all my classmates will go.
Actually, there are far more nuisances than what I mention above. But as time is limited, I have to stop here. I am writing this stuff merely to let out my negative emotion these days!  I am still extremely worried about my imminent IELTs exam on 30th, April. I dare not imagine what I could be if I fail to achieve my expected score. God bless me, a poor guy~~~~~~~
