钱学森走了，永远地走了。
他走的很安详，很平静，双手垂在榻上，双眼紧紧地闭上。
然而他走了之后形成的抑郁，足以让每个人听到噩耗的人突然间感到窒息。他走了以后形成的空白，中国乃至于世界，不久也会感受到。
病房里的哭天抢地，病房外的万人哀悼，他无法听到。百年老人，百年沧桑；百年树人，百年立国。即将百岁的他，历经千辛万苦，为祖国燃烧了自己的一生后，安详地踏上了天堂之路。就算在临终时，他依然心系祖国，最后说的一句话是：希望中国日益强大！
短短的八个字，足以让我们的心潮澎湃，泪蓄而涌；短短八个字，道出了老人一生信奉的愿望；短短八个字，真正地为我们当代的中国青年上了一堂无比深刻的爱国主义教训课；短短八个字，让老人的一生达到巅峰的辉煌！
钱学森的高度，是我们永远无法企及的。在现代物欲横流的社会，每个人都行色匆匆，为生活而奔走。大部分人都在关注着自己的利益，基本上没有人会把自己的事业和祖国的发展联系起来。别人要是问你为什么读书，你要是回答“为中国崛起而读书”，别人会笑你是傻子；你要是回答“为了找一份好工作”，别人会竖起个大拇指来称赞你。我们的爱国主义，有时显得如此的强烈，有时却显得如此的苍白。奥运会上，中国夺金，亿万人民欢呼，这是爱国主义彰显的辉煌时刻；中国钢铁企业高层领导为了获取暴利，不惜向澳大利亚铁矿石出口企业泄露我们进口铁矿石价格的底线，泄露国家机密，爱国主义在他们的心中，一文不值。然而一个跨世纪的老人，钱学森，当年在美国风生水起时，见到满目疮痍的中国现状，放弃一切高官厚禄，不顾美方的重重阻挠，毅然回国，创造了“两弹一星”的不灭神话。而当中国迈入新世纪新时代后，他依然放弃了无数优厚待遇的工作，潜心地研究科学，继续为中国的航天事业做出巨大贡献，至死方休。他总是把自己的事业和祖国的发展紧紧地联系在一起，荣辱与共。这就是一代伟人的风采！
我不敢想像，如果没有“两弹一星”，我们会变成什么样。落后就要挨打的教训，仿佛是一个沉痛的烙印，永远地刻在我们炎黄子孙的身上。没有了国防的强硬后盾，我们很可能就会像盘中鱼肉，任人宰割。钱学森为当年蹒跚学步的中国披上了一层防护衣，这层防护衣发展到今天，坚定地挺起了亿万中国人民的脊梁！
瞻仰钱学森的遗容，我陷入了沉思。我在思考着中国路在何方，百年以后，我们的后代将会看到一个怎样的中国。思忖良久，答案只有一个：中国在我们当代青年的手里。钱学森虽然走了，可是他的光芒依旧照耀着华夏大地，仿如一颗明亮的启明星，在指导着中国人民前进！

噫吁，危乎高哉！蜀道之难，难于上青天！
Oh! Behold! How stiff! How high! Far beyond the sky!
蚕丛及鱼凫，开国何茫然。
Since the two ancient kings founded the kingdom wide
尔来四万八千岁，不与秦塞通人烟。
It has been isolated for forty-eight thousand years from outside.
西当太白有鸟道，可以横绝峨眉巅。
To the west of Taibai Mountain is a bird path
That can sweep through the peak of Mount E’mei far.
地崩山摧壮士死，然后天梯石栈相钩连。
The crumbling of the mountain led to the death of the heroes
Then all the cliffs and tough roads were connected again.
上有六龙回日之高标，下有冲波逆折之回川。
Above is the steep peak beyond the sun.
Below is the torrent rushing and roaring.
黄鹤之飞尚不得过，猿猱欲度愁攀援。
The crane fails to fly over
The gibbon is at a loss how to climb across
青泥何盘盘，百步九折萦岩峦。
What a tough Green Mud we face
To reach the top we need to take nine turns within 100 paces.
扪参历井仰胁息，以手抚膺坐长叹。
Hardly breathing, I can look up and touch the stars high
Fondling my bottom, I have to helplessly sign.
问君西游何时还，畏途巉岩不可攀。
When would you come back from the journey to west?
It is hard for you to climb over the horrible path and rough wrest
但见悲鸟号古木，雄飞雌从绕林间。
Only to hear sad birds in ancient trees wailing
Flying through the forest with males followed by female darlings
又闻子规啼夜月，愁空山。
Again hearing the cuckoo mourning to moon, sighing the empty mountain.
蜀道之难，难于上青天，使人听此凋朱颜。
The road to Shu is harder than to climb the sky
Making our cheeks lose rosy light.
连峰去天不盈尺，枯松倒挂倚绝壁。
No one foot left between the stretching mountains and the sky.
Up hanging down the cliff is the withered pine.
飞湍瀑流争喧豗，砯崖转石万壑雷。
The flying fall and torrents clash one another
Leaving terrifying echoes like thunder
其险也如此，嗟尔远道之人，
胡为乎来哉！剑阁峥嵘而崔嵬，
It is so hazardous
Why do you come here in a long distance?
The path is so high and deep to every attendant.
一夫当关，万夫莫开。
A man in guard
None in thousands can pass
所守或匪亲，化为狼与豺。
Some unfaithful guards
Will turn into wolves and pards
朝避猛虎，夕避长蛇，
Escape from fierce tigers at dawn, long snake at dusk
磨牙吮血，杀人如麻。
They are both grinding teeth to suck blood.
锦城虽云乐，不如早还家。
Inside the prosperous city is tremendous happiness
But I would rather go homeward with earliness
蜀难之道，难于上青天，侧身西望长咨嗟！
The road to Shu is hard than to climb the sky!
