The affluent second generation’s marriage-seeking notice in the university
December 1st, beaty selecting leaflets are distributed in Jinan University by a matchmaking company to find soul mates for two post 80s affluent second generation. This phenomenon has caused wide public concern.
Most people argue that college is a place for education and cultivation and regard this marrige-seeking act as a tiresome media sensationalization, disturbing teaching regulations. So proper measures should be taken to prevent a recurrence of similar incidents. But some people, on the other hand, maintain that affluent second generation searching school beauty is neither illegal nor unethical. Nowadays it’s accustomed to seeing love affairs in college and condom vending machines on campus. Even college students are legally permitted to get married. Why they should be scolded? Maybe what we should do is to change our traditional way of thinking and exhibit greater open-mindedness to tolerate and understand them.
Philosophy educates us to comprehensively consider the issues. As there has been undesirable trend in recent years toward the worship of money. Marriage-seeking in campus may mislead the students that money is all-powerful and with money you can do everything. We are neither opposed to nor hostile to the rich. But at any rate, the “money talks” theory is not permitted to publicly peddled in the ivory tower.
