今天感冒升级, 整个人倦怠不堪, 而且咳嗽不断. 不过清晨还是很早起床了. 打开电脑, 想起昨晚答应了一个朋友帮他修改一篇翻译, 于是便怀着慵懒的心打开了那篇翻译, 结果, 本来精神不振的我, 看完那篇翻译后, 整个人精神为之一振. 此刻, 在写下这篇日记时, 除了惊讶和佩服外, 我已经不知道该用什么词来形容自己的心情了.
认识这位朋友是09年的事情. 当时他看到我的空间有很多英语文章, 而他也是英语的爱好者, 所以加了我的QQ. 当时大家并不熟, 而且由于我平时太忙, 所以也没有什么时间和他联系. 但通过几次短暂的聊天以及从他的空间中, 我得知他是一个疯狂英语爱好者. 当时他才高中毕业, 由于家庭条件的原因, 没有继续深造, 而是选择来深圳工作. 据我所知, 他来深圳后的日子特别苦. 由于没有学历, 他所做的工作几乎都是苦力活, 几乎都是在工厂进行的, 甚至在快餐店当过服务员, 领取微薄的工资. 但是, 不管他的生活多么苦,哪怕天天加班, 他都可以坚持学英语. 他可以每天清晨很早起床, 然后躲在一个安静的角落里大声朗读课文. 当别的工友在业余时间泡网吧和在外面玩乐时, 他可以一个人静静地看书和学习, 为自己的理想和目标奋斗. 我记得曾经他会经常发他的作文或者翻译给我修改, 可是后面由于我太忙了没有时间帮他改, 才作罢了. 可是这丝毫没有影响他前进的决心, 他依旧天天学习, 经常写作和翻译. 我想, 如果不是出于对一门语言的深沉的爱, 任何一个人都无法付出像他那样的努力!
我记得09年刚认识他时, 甚至在去年年初, 他的英语水平虽然比一般的人好一些, 可是在我的眼里还是平平无奇的, 所写的句子都有不少的用词和语法错误. 至于他的翻译, 问题更多. 之前他考过BEC中级, 后来可能水平还是没有达到考试的期望值, 结果没能考过. 我想他当时知道成绩以后肯定感到很沮丧, 因为对于一个热爱英语而且为英语付出这么多的人来讲, 考试考不过是一个相当郁闷的事情. 可是, 他的沮丧并没有让他放弃学习, 相反, 这更激发了他学习的热情和决心. 去年我听他说他要为全国翻译考试做准备. 我当时听了觉得这个任务不轻, 我还有点担心他难以完成这个艰巨的使命, 因为他的水平还离这个考试相距甚远. 可是今天看完他译的文章, 我觉得他已经离这个目标不远了.
今天, 这位朋友让我再一次深刻地感受到热情与决心的力量!当你深深地爱上某一件事物时, 你会义无反顾地为了她而奋斗. 哪怕中途挫折不断, 你的热情和决心也不会被消磨掉. 你只会越挫越勇, 一直往自己的理想和目标奋斗. 他如今的学习状态让我想起了自己高中和大学时学习英语的情景. 当时的我何尝不是像他一样热情高涨, 几乎到达了疯狂的地步? 可是如今, 毕业以后, 尽管我仍然每天和英语打交道, 可是我的学习热情已经远不如当初了, 大概是有点满足于现状或者是为工作生活所迫. 今天看了这位朋友的翻译, 我不禁感到惭愧, 因为他如今工作比我更忙更苦, 可是他依旧孜孜不倦的奋斗. 所以我想, 今后我也要不断地前进!
每当想起这个朋友, 我都会为他感到一定程度的惋息, 因为这么热爱英语, 这么勤奋用功的一个人, 却不能在大学深造, 不能在好的外国语学院学习外语, 实在是一种浪费! 如果能够有更好的条件给他, 我相信他今天取得的成绩和进步, 更是我无法想象的. 但是从另一个角度来讲, 或许艰苦的环境让他更快地成长. 他懂得如何在艰苦中保持自己人生航行的力度和方向. 他在积累工作和人生经验的同时, 也把英语学得越来越深入. 如今我敢断言, 他的英语不仅比一般的本科生好很多, 甚至不少出过国留学回来的学生, 也不如他的好. 这样的成绩需要付出多少辛酸和努力, 我想, 是一般人无法理解的.
他的翻译让病中的我感到无比的宽慰与鼓舞. 这大概是因为我深深地热爱英语的缘故, 所以能够真切地体会出个中的辛酸. 我坚信, 他以后会走得更好的, 因为一心向着自己目标前进的人, 整个世界都会为他让路.
