Sue and Lucy are good friends.They are in the same class at school.They often visit each other's home at weekends.Now they are both eight years old.Sue's mother has got a new baby.Sue is very glad to have a little sister.So she is always talking about her to Lucy.At first she is very interested in the new baby because isn't any brothers or sisthers.But after some time she begins get tired of Sue's endless talking about it .She also feels a little jealous of her friend.
One morning when the two girls meet in the school ground ,Sue says to Lucy,"Do you know Lucy?My baby sister has put on nearly half a pound in weight this week."
"That is not very much,'answers Lucy.:I know a baby and he put on ten pounds a day."
"Oh that can't be ture,"answers Sue laughingly ,"Whoes baby is it?""An elephant's."says Lucy. |
