那个下午原本很温暖
天上挂着大大的太阳
可是 忽然间 天崩地裂
我跌进了黑暗的海洋
It was supposed to be warm that afternoon
When the huge sun was hung in the sky
But suddenly the eaven fell and the earth cracked
I fell into the ocean of darnkness
是老师用她那宽广的胸膛护在了我的上方
当穿绿军装的解放军叔叔把我挖出来的的时候
好多人都在欢呼
妈妈 我却看见你眼里满是泪光
It was my teacher who protected me with his broad chest upon me
When uncle soldiers with green uniforms dug me out
Many people cheered
But, mum, I saw nothing but tears in your eyes
妈妈 我不要你的眼里有泪光
叔叔们的手都流血了
湿漉漉的衣服裹紧臂膀
还有穿白大褂的阿姨
赶紧为我擦伤口 给我输液
还给我的手里塞了一块糖
Mum, I don’t wanna see tears in your eyes
Uncles’ hands bled
Wet clothes were tightly around their shoulders
And aunts with white gowns
Hurried to clean my wounds, gave me injections
And crammed one candy into my hands

爸爸找不见了
我想他 我知道
这个“六一”节他已不能陪在我的身旁
他再不能给我讲故事
包括还没讲完的孙悟空和牛魔王

Dad can’t be found and I miss him
I know he can’t accompany me this Children’s Day

That old grandmother coming from Beijing
Spoke kindly and gently.
In front of ruins and nearby debris
His hands trembled and tears streamed from his eyes
While he was stooping to pick up children’s shoes and schoolbags
还有那个警察阿姨
她失去了最心爱的两岁女儿
和挚亲的爹娘
可她依然强忍悲伤
为我们四处奔忙
更有好多的爷爷奶奶 叔叔阿姨身背行囊
尽管说着我听不大懂的北调南腔
可是他们却整天忙着送医送药送热汤
还建起了帐篷学校
我又回到了久违的课堂
Although that aunt policewoman
Lost his most lovely two-year-old daughter
And his devoted father and mother
She still fought to suppress grief
And bustled around for us
More grandmothers, grandfathers, uncles, aunts carried packs on their shoulders
Althogh they spoke with a mixture of accents that I didn’t quite follow
They were busy sending doctors, medicine and hot soup
And built schools made of tents
Where I can go back to attend a class that I haven’t for a long time

全中国的人
包括世界地图上的国家都在把我们帮
老奶奶捐出了卖报纸的钱
小朋友们把自己的储钱罐倒的精光
我好高兴 有个叔叔说
再过几天 我们就可以离开帐篷
住进活动板房
Mum, I don’t wanna see tears in your eyes
All the Chinese people
And all the countries that can be found in the map are helping us
Old grandmother donated money which she earned by selling newspapers
Children took all the money out of the piggy bank
I was very happy when one uncle said
A few days later we cound leave the tents
And live in the housing activity panels

您曾经说
摔倒了爬起来才是好儿郎
百炼方能成钢
老师说 多难兴邦
中华民族不惧怕任何风浪
妈妈 您不要悲伤
请坚信 只要我们心不死
就永远有希望
风雨过后有更灿烂的阳光

You once said
Only by picking yourself up from where you fell, you can become a strong boy
And you can be tempered into a person of iron will
Teacher said many hardships flourish the nation
The Chinese nation is not afraid of any stormy waves
