第十一章 先进篇(7)
季康子問：“弟子孰為好學？”孔子對曰：“有顏回者好學，不幸短命死矣！今也則亡。”
Ji Kang asked which of the disciples loved to learn.
Confucius replied to him, "There was Yen Hui; he loved to learn. Unfortunately his appointed time was short, and he died. Now there is no one who loves to learn, as he did."
【原文】
季康子问：“弟子孰为好学①？”孔子对曰：“有颜回者好学，不幸短命死矣，今也则亡②。”
【今译】
季康子问道：“您的学生中谁最喜爱学习？”孔子答道：“有个叫颜回的学生最喜爱学习，不幸短命死了，现在再也没有这样好的学生了。”
【注释】
①孰：谁，哪一个。
②亡（ｗú）：同“无”，没有。
【评点】
本章孔子极力称赞颜回的好学精神，可惜他英年早逝，表达了痛惜之情。 |
