是日虽略有寒气，亦不失天朗气清。余会友人，兴之所致，攀梧桐之巅。
Today though it was kind of cold, it was actually sunny. Therefore, I met my good friends and we decided to climb the Wutong Mountain.
乘车需一时有半，旅途坎坷。一友名华康，不胜长途劳作，唇白面青，倍感失落。吾忧其体质之不适，至梧桐之时，恐病入极致，无心向之。然事非余之所忧，抵达之时，其精神奕奕，谈笑自如，余皆庆之。
It took us about one and a half hours to reach the destination. The way was tough, and one of my friends named Hua Kang looked pale in lips and green in face due to the bumpy and long journey. I was anxious that when he arrived at the destination, he would feel too sick to go on climbing the mountain. However, luckily, my anxiety was unnecessary. When we arrived, he was more than energetic and talked freely. We all felt a relief!
梧桐，乃鹏城第一高峰，海拔千米有余，拔地而起，直冲云宵。嵬嵬然似半壁江山，横断大地；威威然似翻腾巨龙，延绵十里；荣荣然似生命之源，繁木皆竞；渺渺然似蓬莱仙境， 万物同喜。余与友携手同游，一路游人织织，繁华似锦，倍添喜庆。然登峰之难，何以言语述之？攀援至半，天高风急，寒气来袭，气温骤低，余皆夹紧行衣，唏嘘不已。唯一友名曰晓曼，独身短袖之衣，虽略感寒意，犹挺而走之。女子之身，其勇威然，其毅如此，男子亦叹之不及。
Wutong Mountain was the highest mountain in Shenzhen City, with an altitude of more than 1000 meters. It stands upright from the ground and soars into the sky. It is splendid like a giant wall that cuts the whole area into two. It is magnificent like a living dragon that stretches ten miles long. It is also vital like the origin of lives in which all plants are competing prosperously. It is like the mythic place in which everything is celebrating. I fully enjoyed the trip with my friends. All the way there were numerous tourists, which added greatly to the gleeful atmosphere. But the difficulty to reach the top was beyond any words. When we reached the mountainside, the wind became strong and icy. We all tightened our coats. But one of my friends named Xiaoman only wore a sleeveless coat. Though she felt a little cold, she could still endure and move on with us. We all greatly appreciated her great courage and perseverance.
登山之途，困难重重，然夫夷以近，则游者众；险以远，则至者少。然世之奇伟，瑰怪，非常之观常在于险远，而人之所罕至焉。故非有志者不能至也。欲穷千里目，须更上一层楼；欲去浮云而张望眼，须身居最高层。是以余皆奋起而进之，登小梧桐，越好汉坡，怀不到长城非好汉之心，终踏大梧桐之峰，居鹏城之巅。放眼四海，皆云海翻腾，犹居九重天。云气漫山，随风四散，恍如隔世。吾不禁感叹，寄浮游于天地，渺沧海之一栗。不多时，天色渐晚，余与友相约下山，一路欢畅，不再重述。
The way to the top was really full of obstacles. But it is well known that when the way is short, there will be many visitors, but when the way is far and tough, there will be few. However, the most splendid and glorious scenery always lies in the toughest place that is hard to reach. Therefore, only those who have strong perseverance can do it. If you want to see thousands of miles away, you need to stand on a higher floor. If you want to avert the clouds and see farther, you need to stand on the highest top. Hence, we kept on moving until we reached the top of Small Wutong, overcame the Hero Slope and finally arrived at the peak of the Giant Wutong. When we looked down from the top, there was a vast ocean of clouds churning. We were as if living in the Heaven. The mist was scattered over the mountain by the wind. I could not help sighing about our smallness in the universe. Before long, as it got dark gradually, we had to walk down the mountain. I do not mean to re-depicted the joyfulness here again.
重回寒舍，已是缺月睥睨之时。虽形体劳损，然心潮澎湃，难以抑制，故作文以记之，亦算不枉此行！
When I got back to my dormitory, it was already evening and the waning moon was hanging in the sky. Exhausted as I was, I still felt considerably thrilled. Therefore, I write this article to memorize this joyful trip. |
