回家到现在十多天了, 从来没有感到如此的放松与休闲. 我想这个暑假(如果还可以称为暑假的话)可能是我大学四年最轻松的了. 在家根本不用做什么事, 除了早上起床打扫一下卫生就没有别的事做了. 饭爷爷会煮, 菜妈妈和弟弟会炒, 我只负责吃就行了. 有时想想, 整个人像懒虫一样.
时不时与同学朋友聊一下电话, 或者去外面糖水店和以前的朋友坐坐, 然而更多的时候我却畏惧酷热的天气, 宁愿乖乖呆在家里, 让风扇对着我来吹. 下午六点多冲完凉, 太阳刚好下山, 气温也降了下来, 在家呆了一天的我终于也像晚间猎食的动物走出家门, 在外面散散步, 或者逛逛商场, 每次都提回大袋小袋的东西, 多半是吃的喝的. 很快冰箱里也放满东西了, 想吃什么直接拿就是了.
很多计划被迫取消了. 本来想去桂林玩, 可是家人说出国前的这段时间最好哪里也不要去, 呆在家里, 以保证到时安全出去, 于是连博罗也不敢去了; 回家前带了一本会计英文版教材和一本[B]的书, 本来想在开学前把它们看完, 可是看了一点就觉得烦躁不安, 再加上一大堆杂事, 弄得我全无兴致, 于是也被迫放下了. 我觉得我的自制力算好的了, 可是在家依然学不下来, 可见在家真的不适合学习, 要学习的人千万不要呆在家里.
然而奇迹的是英语倒是没有放弃. 可能我真的喜欢它太深了. 天天还是坚持听CCTV9 的新闻, 坚持看国家地理频道和探索频道, 坚持写文章, 坚持记单词, 感觉还是取得一些进步的. 很多高级和专业的词汇都是从地理频道和探索频道里学来的. 记得这个月初海航和Daniel 来我家玩, Daniel 是奥地利的学生, 和我们用英语交流. 海航一直说我的词汇量大得让他吃惊, 说我会表达一些很奇怪的东西. 我想, 只要你坚持看地理频道看了三年多, 你肯定会比我更优秀. 我从大一下学期就开始看国家地理频道, 平均每天30分钟, 一直看到现在. 我不仅对它的英语感兴趣, 对它的内容也很感兴趣,可以从中学到不少科学知识.
从前不太喜欢看美剧和美国电影的我, 最近也看了不少美国电影. 其实我对电影的爱好很一般, 然而我发现要想学好一些地道的表达, 看电影还是必须的. 可能别的看电影看一遍, 了解了情节就过去了, 我却不是. 昨天才看, 可能太落后了, 因为之前一直找不到时间看. 我看电影喜欢带一个笔和一个草稿本放在电脑前, 而且喜欢看有中英文字幕的高清电影, 这样方便学习. 我会聚精会神地看着各种表达, 一旦发现自己有点陌生的表达或者词汇,我就会停下来把它们记到本子上, 等电影完全结束了再慢慢查. 结果一部电影本来100分钟的, 我可能看了150分钟, 而且后面还要花上一个多小时来整理记下来密密麻麻的笔记, 整个上午或者下午就没了. 不过从这个过程中真的学到很多东西.
在家所有的兼职工作都几乎停止了, 所以挺怀念深圳的. 这段期间帮了两个服装公司翻译了一些材料, 大概四五千字吧.一清早开电脑就开始工作了. 现在做笔译真的要越来越小心, 因为以前犯过无法弥补的错误, 所以现在得更加小心谨慎. 当你帮别人打工时, 你的老板只会看你的工作的结果, 不会看你的过程. 所以当你犯了错误或者不能完成工作指标时, 不要说你已经尽力了或者找各种原因, 总之就是你的责任. 从上一次的不愉快的经历开始, 每次帮别人翻译完东西我都要再三要求对方仔细检查并且声明检查一旦通过, 后面出现什么问题我是不会负责的. 如果在检查过程中要求我进行修改, 我会完全按照对方的要求来做. 不过还好, 一直到现在, 再也没有出现什么问题. 可能吃一垫长一智吧.

寡人之于国也

梁惠王曰：“寡人之于国也，尽心焉耳矣。河内凶，则移其民于河东，移其粟于河内。河东凶亦然。察邻国之政，无如寡人之用心者。邻国之民不加少，寡人之民不加多，何也？”
Emperor Liang said, “I do spare no effort to govern and administrate my country. When famine struck one side of the river, I would transport all the citizens there to the other side of the river and meantime transport food to the disaster area. When the other side of the river encountered the same situation, I would do the same. I have observed the policies of our neighboring country. Its emperor is not as painstaking as not I am, but why his citizens do not decline and mine do not increase?”
孟子对曰：“王好战，请以战喻。填然鼓之，兵刃既接，弃甲曳兵而走，或百步而后止，或五十步而后止。以五十步笑百步，则何如？”曰：“不可。直不百步耳，是亦走也。”
Meng Zi said, “My dear Majesty, you love war, so please allow me to take war as an example. When the drum is trumpeting and the war starts, some soldiers retreat. Some of them retreat for a hundred strides while some for fifty. What do you think if those of fifty strides laugh at those of one hundred strides for their cowardice?” Liang answered, “Terrible. Those of fifty strides are also cowards because they also retreat from the war, though they just retreat no more than one hundred strides.”
曰：“王如知此，则无望民之多于邻国也。不违农时，谷不可胜食也。数罟不入洿池，鱼鳖不可胜食也。斧斤以时入山林，材木不可胜用也。谷与鱼鳖不可胜食，材木不可胜用，是使民养生丧死无憾也。养生丧死无憾，王道之始也。五亩之宅，树之以桑，五十者可以衣帛矣。鸡豚狗彘之畜，无失其时，七十者可以食肉矣；百亩之田，勿夺其时，数口之家可以无饥矣；谨庠序之教，申之以孝悌之义，颁白者不负戴于道路矣。七十者衣帛食肉，黎民不饥不寒，然而不王者，未之有也。狗彘食人食而不知检，途有饿殍而不知发。人死，则曰：‘非我也，岁也。’是何异于刺人而杀之，曰：‘非我也，兵也。’王无罪岁，斯天下之民至焉。”
Meng Zi went on saying, “If you know this common wisdom, then you should not expect your population exceeds that in your neighboring country. If we do not miss the time to grow grains, then we will not starve; If we do not over-fish in the deep waters, we will not exhaust our fish; If we chop our woods on a regular basis, we will not exhaust our forests. If we have enough food, fish and woods, then people will not feel worried about their living, which indicates your good governance of the country. If you distribute a garden of five acres to every family and ask them to plant mulberry, then every old person of more than fifty can wear clothes of silk. If every family can keep livestock at the right time, then every old person of seventy can get full access to meat. If every family can work on their farmlands of some one hundred acres without governmental interference, then they will have enough food to eat. If education is greatly emphasized and people are taught to be respectful to their parents and brothers, then old people do not need to carry heavy stuff on the road without being helped. If people of seventies can wear clothes of silk and average people can have enough to eat and wear, then the country is surely well governed and administrated. Now dogs and pigs of the wealthy eat farmers’ vegetables without any restraint and starving refugees are not fed by the food issued by the government and die. But the governor only pushes the buck and attributes all the problems to the poor harvest of the year. It is just like a person kills another with a knife and says, “I did not kill him but the knife killed him.” If you do not blame the bad harvest of the year, then I believe all the people will come to your country.” |
