今天为大家讲述的是原子弹背后的故事。大家都知道原子弹是由邓稼先，钱三强等科学家研究出来的，那大家知道原子弹的原料是怎么来的吗？在现在看来是有些可笑，可是我却被深深的震撼了。它们是由现在大家都看不起的农民一点一滴，用人类最原始和简陋的材料，在山寨工厂里，流血流汗，不顾放射性危险，硬凑出来的。
二机部的袁成隆副部长说，土法炼铀，老百姓搞，我听说云南云沧那个地方有农民在那儿炼铀，就亲自去看看到底怎么样。去了一看，到处是小高炉，正在那儿炼呢，一个副专员在那儿主持这个事儿。开采呢，就是用镐刨，那个矿比较富，把那含铀矿刨出来。要碾碎怎么办呢，没有别的办法，用碾子，就是老百姓碾粮食的那种碾子（日后还要用那个碾子压粮食），把那铀矿石碾碎。碾碎以后得过滤啊，那就用做豆腐的麻布包过滤，一道一道过滤。最后得出细一点儿的，那个铀的沫，这也叫初铀。将来拿这个就可以搞氧化铀、四氟化铀、六氟化铀，一道一道弄下去了。
土法炼铀获得土法冶炼的重铀酸铵163吨，为原子弹试验的核燃料的生产提供了原料，进而为中国第一颗原子弹的研制赢得了时间。对此，美国学者刘易斯和薛理泰说，从一定意义上讲，中国的第一颗原子弹是一枚人民炸弹。
先辈们为了捍卫祖国的尊严，连命都不要了，在建造原子弹的这座丰碑上不仅有邓稼先、钱三强等伟人的身影，碑下还浸润着农民的血汗。
